Royals to Host Ice Girl, Promotional Team Tryouts

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that the organization will host tryouts for the team's new Ice Girl and Promotional Team at the Body Zone Sports & Wellness Complex (3103 Paper Mill Road, Wyomissing, PA) on Wednesday, July 16, from 1:30 - 4:00 pm.

The Ice Girl and Promotional Team-the first in Royals' history-will serve as the team's newest game night ambassadors, as well as handling the important function of cleaning the accumulated ice-shavings at certain spots on ice during stoppages in play at the Royals' home games at Santander Arena in Reading. Candidates should be athletic, friendly, and dependable-with a fun and bubbly personality. Candidates will also need a basic or novice ice skating ability and must be a high school graduate and at least eighteen years of age.

Candidates for the Royals Ice Girl and Promotional Team are requested to fill out and submit the Tryout Application Form, which can be accessed on the Royals' website (http://royalshockey.com/ice-girl-tryouts/). Pleased mail the form, along with headshot or photo, to Reading Royals c/o Andrew Capizzi, Marketing & Game Ops Manager, 700 Penn Street, Reading, PA 19602. Candidates can also email the Application form to acapizzi@royashockey.com or fax the information to 610-898-1141. The Ice Girl and Promotional Team Tryouts will include an ice skating evaluation, an interview, and a photo session.
