OMAHA â The Omaha Royals game vs. Memphis, scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Saturday, June 12, has been postponed due to rain. The two clubs will still play a single game at its regularly scheduled time of 1:35 p.m. on Sunday, June 13.
Saturday night's rainout will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday, July 20, beginning at 4:05 p.m., which means the Redbirds next visit to Rosenblatt Stadium will be a five-game series from July 19-22.
Sunday is Military Appreciation Day at Rosenblatt Stadium. Gates open at 12:30 p.m. and all persons with a military I.D. will get one ticket free when they buy one ticket. Also, the first 1,000 fans will receive a free baseball, courtesy of Lockheed Martin.
It's also another Family Fun Day, with all kids invited to run the bases after the game, presented by KGBI the Bridge.
The pitching match-up for Sunday: Memphis LH Randy Flores (0-5, 4.97) vs. Royals LH Les Walrond (1-1, 5.25). The pre-game show airs at 1:15 p.m. on Fox Sports Radio 1490 and at www.Oroyals.com. The game will also be broadcast in Spanish on Radio Lobo 97.7 FM.
