Royals Ready to Hit the Field with Lancaster Barnstormers

Reading, PA -The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team and its fans will join with the Lancaster Barnstormers to celebrate âHockey Afternoon in Lancaster' on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 1:30 pm when the Barnstormers face the Camden Riversharks at Clipper Magazine Stadium (650 North Prince Street, Lancaster, PA; 717-509-4487; www.lancasterbarnstormers.com). Royals' Head Coach Larry Courville will throw out the first pitch, and Slapshot will undoubtedly unleash his usual (or should we say âunusual') brand of unbridled mania, as the Royals join forces with the Barnstormers for an afternoon of baseball action and family fun.
Royals Full Season Ticket Holders can gain free entrance into the Sunday matinee baseball game by presenting the voucher that will be e-mailed directly to each Full STH by the Royals' Ticket Department. Full STHs can present that voucher with appropriate identification to the Royals' booth that will be set up at Clipper Magazine Stadium and receive one free ticket for each full season ticket under the Full STH account, i.e. if a Full STH has four full season tickets on his or her account, that Full STH would get four free tickets to the Barnstormers' game. The Royals open the 2009-10 ECHL season on Thursday, October 15, 2009 (7:05 pm) when the Kalamazoo Wings make their first visit ever to the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania.
