Royals Pre-Season Schedule Revised

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced a revision to the team's pre-season schedule necessitated by a conflict with an event set for First Arena in Elmira, New York. The Royals will now take on the Elmira Jackals at First Arena in Elmira, New York on Thursday, October 7, at 7:00 pm. Also, the Royals will now face the Trenton Devils at the Sovereign Center in Reading on Saturday, October 9, at 7:05 pm.

As previously announced, the Royals' media partners, Reading Eagle, WEEU and Rock Hits Y102, have joined forces with the team to invite everyone in the Greater Reading Region and beyond to attend the Royals' pre-season game at the Sovereign Center against the Trenton Devils for FREE! Fans can gain admission to the Royals home pre-season game by simply presenting a coupon that will be published in the Reading Eagle in the days leading up to the pre-season game. Also, the Reading Parking Authority will reduce the event parking rate to just $1.00 for all lots in and around the Sovereign Center on the day of the pre-season game.

As a part of the activities prior to the Royals home pre-season game, beginning at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 9, at the Sovereign Center, Royals' Season Ticket Holders will be able to pick up their season ticket booklets. In addition, STHs will be permitted entrance into the Sovereign Center one-half hour before all other patrons (5:35 pm); and we respectfully recommend that, since the pre-season game is a general admission event, STHs arrive early in order to ensure the best available seats. The building will be opened to the general public at 6:05 pm.

The Royals host the team's tenth anniversary home opener on Saturday, October 23, 2010 (7:05 pm), when the Elmira Jackals visit the Sovereign Center.
