Reading Royals News Release

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals, the ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, today announced that defenseman Adam Comrie has been suspended by the league for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of supplemental discipline for spearing an opposing player off of the playing surface at the 15:08 mark of the third period of Wednesday's 3-1 loss for the Royals to the Toledo Walleye in Game Four of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal best-of-seven first round matchup.

"We understand the league's ruling, but we're disappointed with the league's decision," said Royals' Head Coach Larry Courville. There will be no further comment from the team or Coach Courville.

Comrie will miss Game Five on Friday in Toledo and Game Six on Sunday in Reading in the ECQF series against the Walleye.
