Rox outlast Pride, 4-3

(Nashua, NH, June 6) Guye Senjem belted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning on Tuesday night to power the Brockton Rox to a 4-3 victory over the Nashua Pride before a crowd of 1,279 at Hidtoric Holman Stadium. Senjem's third homer of the season came off Pride reliever Nick Slack (0-1).

The Rox (5-7) jumped out to a 3-0 lead on RBI hits by Travis Gulick in the second inning, Mike Scanzano in the fourth and a solo home run by Keith Brachold in the fifth, his second of the year. Nashua starter Raul Valdez surrendered all three Brockton runs in his first Nashua appearance.

The Pride (4-6) tied it with three in the fifth on a fielder's choice RBI by James Lofton and a two-run double by Glenn Murray. Lofton had three stolen bases on the night for Nashua. All three Pride runs came against Brockton starter John Boker.

Brockton reliever Kyle George (1-0) earned the win by working three perfect inning, striking out four Nashua batters.

The Pride and the Rox resume their three-game series Wednesday morning at 11:05. The Pride will send Dan Reichert (1-0) to the mound against Brockton's Rob Averette (0-1) in a battle of righthanders. William "Too Good for American Idol" Hung will be back for another three performances and all fans are invited to have lunch at the park with early start.
