SS Robert LeNoir went 1-for-4 with a homerun and two RBI to lead Sussex past Worcester, 6-3. Relief pitcher Jose Correa allowed only one hit over 3 1/3 innings to pick up the win for the Skyhawks. Correa improved to 2-0 on the season. Worcester 1B Chris Colabello went

2-for-4 with two RBI to lead the Tornadoes at the plate in the losing cause.

New Jersey 13, Quebec 2

New Jersey pounded out 21 hits en route to a decisive 13-2 victory over Quebec. RF Mike Nesbit went 5-for-5 with an RBI to lead the Jackals offensively. 3B Wilton Veras added three hits and three RBI of his own for the New Jersey cause. Starting pitcher Aaron Miles improved to 1-1 on the season after pitching six shutout innings. Three Quebec players combined for six of their eight hits, with 3B Eddie Lantigua leading the way at 2-for-4 and an RBI.

Brockton 4, Nashua 3 (10 innings)

@ Nashua, NH. Time: 3:45 Attendance: 1,279

W: Kyle George (1-0) L: Nic Slack (0-1) S: NONE

HR: BR-Keith Brachold (2), Guye Senjem (3)

Brockton needed extra frames, but DH Guye Senjem's 10th inning solo homerun was enough to lift the Rox past Nashua, 4-3. RF Keith Brachold also hit a homerun to support the Brockton cause. Relief pitcher Kyle George tallied his first win of the year, pitching three perfect innings to end the game. While the Nashua offense only managed five hits, starting pitcher Raul Valdes was strong, allowing only three runs over 4 1/3 innings and striking out seven in the losing cause.

New Haven 4, North Shore 3

HR: NH-Orlando Encarnacion (1)

DH Orlando Encarnacion went 2-for-4 with a homerun to lead New Haven past North Shore, 4-3. Offensively, the Cutters pounded out 13 hits en route to the win. Relief pitcher Andy Weimer pitched 3 2/3 perfect innings to get the win and improve to 2-0 on the season. North Shore starting pitcher Jarrad Lavergne allowed no earned runs over 4 1/3 innings while striking out five, but it wasn't enough to carry his team to victory.
