
Rox Open Fifth FCBL Season at Campanelli Tonight

The Brockton Rox, starting their fifth season in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) open against the expansion team, The Bristol Blues (CT) at 7:05, with gates opening at 6:05. This evening will be the Magnet Schedule giveaway night courtesy of D'Agostino Insurance of Brockton.
The Rox return seven players from the 2014 roster and have rounded out the squad with equal parts of regional, New England talent and players from across the country.
Campanelli Stadium has been hosting baseball for a few weeks, after an especially long New England winter. UMass Boston, Newbury College, AUU, Brockton High, and Cardinal Spellman have all had time on the diamonds the spring and American Legion and MIAA sharing time with the Rox at the beginning of their season.
The game tonight features The Cardinal Spellman acapella group, Symphonium, performing the National Anthem and first pitch tossed out by John Leinenkugel from Leinenkugel Beer. Thirsty Thursday returns to Campanelli and the Rox are rolling out a new and improved ballpark menu for the 2015 season, featuring a tasty dessert bar and local delicacy Cape Cod Café pizza.
Joining our on-field entertainment team this year is Boston radio star Baltazar Ibanez as our new game-day emcee entertainer. He joins Rox fan favorite Ballpark Frank and voice of the Rox, PA announcer Scott Sudikoff in delivering night after night of fun-filled family entertainment.
