
Rox Hire New Vice Present and General Manager

BROCKTON, MA - March 12, 2014 - The Brockton Rox announced the hiring of veteran baseball executive Todd Marlin as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Rox Baseball today. Marlin is the latest addition to the team's senior management team which also includes President and majority owner Chris English, Shaw's Center Vice President Michael Canina, and consulting partner Andy Crossley. He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Rox Baseball with a focusing on sales, marketing, customer service and crowd building.
"It's an exciting day for the Rox as we welcome to our ownership group Todd Marlin, Senior Vic e President and General Manager," said Chris English. "Todd has a wealth of experience managing minor league baseball teams and more recently working on corporate partnerships with NASCAR. Todd will manage the overall baseball operations and in particular will work on strategic branding initiatives with our local corporate partners."
Marlin began his baseball career in 1998 as an intern with Nashua Pride Professional Baseball of the Atlantic League, which was owned by English. The Carrollton, Ohio native worked his way up the ranks of the organization and was promoted to General Manager of the Pride in early 2003. He was named Atlantic League Executive-of-the- Year following the 2005 season.
In 2006 Marlin jumped to the Can-Am League as General Manager of the Rox' arch rivals, the Worcester Tornadoes. From 2007 to 2009, Marlin was General Manager of the Atlantic League's Bridgeport Bluefish, helping lead a financial turnaround of the organization. From 2009 to 2011 he was Managing Director of the Washington (PA) Wild Things of the independent Frontier League. Most recently, he spent two years as the senior sales manager for the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire.

The Brockton Rox are members of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL). The Rox open their 13th season of baseball at Campanelli Stadium on June 4th, 2014.
