Rox Fall Short in 2015 Summer Collegiate World Series

St. Cloud, Minn. - The St. Cloud Rox fell to the Kenosha Kingfish in game two of the 2015 Summer Collegiate World Series by a score of 8-1.

Lucas Gilbreath (University of Minnesota) started on the mound for the Rox and threw 2.1 innings where he struck out one batter. Brian Glowicki (University of Minnesota) came in for 2.2 innings of relief then Trevor Charpie (University of Nevada, Reno) came in for 1.2 innings, striking out one batter. Erik Martinez (Cal-Berkeley) pitched 1.2 innings where he also struck out one batter. Zach Pop (University of Kentucky came in for the last batter who grounded out to second base.

The Rox scored their run in the fifth inning when Joe Tietjen (UNC Ashville) made his way around the bases and scored on a John Sansone (Florida State University) single.

The 2015 season was a historic one for St. Cloud as they shattered the team's record for most wins in a season by going 51-25. The 2015 team was also the first Rox team to go to the Northwoods League Playoffs and made the team's first appearance in the Summer Collegiate World Series. The Rox also won the North Division after a record 30-win second half.
