Rox Collectively Throw 1 Hitter, Beat Bravehearts 1-0

The Rox welcomed the league's best team after Brockton fell to last place in the Eastern Conference yesterday.The Bravehearts entered the matchup with an astounding 26-9 record.

James Muse took the mound against the back-to-back league champions, and he was ready for a daunting task. Muse went 5 innings on the bump without allowing a hit. Although 5 batters reached base, he didn't allow anyone to score.

The Rox scored their one and only run of the game in the 6th inning. Chase Smartt picked up 1 of his two hits, and Ishmael Edwards drove him home to take a 1-0 lead.

Austin Bollinger, Dan Rajowski, and birthday boy David Griffin all collectively closed the deal for the Rox to secure a 1-0 win against Worcester.

The Rox picked up their first win since the all-star break and improved to 16-21 on the year. Brockton is home again tomorrow as they take on the Bravehearts (26-10) once again.
