St. Cloud, MN - The St. Cloud Rox announced the signing of four additional players for the 2016 season today. The list of one pitcher and three infielders includes Jake Stevenson from University of Minnesota, Trey Miller from University of Kentucky, Chris Kwitzer from State University of New York at Buffalo and Brhet Bewley from University of San Diego.

Stevenson is a 6'4" right handed pitcher currently in his freshman season at University of Minnesota. The Waconia, Minnesota native was an All-Conference and All-Section player three times during his high school career. Pitching at Waconia High School he had a 5-0 record during his senior season and a 7-1 record during his junior season. While in high school he was a National Honor Society member and a four-time academic letter winner.

Miller, a 6'0" infielder that can play second base, short stop and third base is in his sophomore season at University of Kentucky. He redshirted in 2015 after transferring from University of Michigan following his freshman season. During his time at Michigan he played in 30 games and had one home run and seven runs batted in. Prior to college, the Lexington, Kentucky native was an All-State selection, Rawlings Central Region Honorable Mention selection and an Under Armor All-America Honorable Mention selection.

Kwitzer is a 6'0" corner infielder in his junior season for University at Buffalo. During the 2015 season he played 47 games, starting 46 of them at third base. He was third on the Bulls with 47 hits, while leading the team with six triples and tallying 20 runs and 18 runs batted in. Last summer the Cheektowaga, New York native played for the Adirondack Trail Blazers in the Perfect Game League where he finished with the fourth best batting average (.366) and third most triples (4) in the league. Kwitzer has started all six games for Buffalo this season and has a .320 batting average.

Bewley, a 5'10" freshman infielder at University of San Diego can play second base, short stop and third base. The Temecula, California native was a two-time 2nd team All-Southwestern League player and a three-time Academic Scholar Athlete at Chaparral High School. As a senior at Chaparral High School he had a .333 batting average. The true freshman has started all seven games for San Diego this season and has collected eight hits.

In total the Rox now have 17 players under contract for the 2016 season. Field Manager Augie Rodriguez, along with the Rox organization will continue to build the roster for the 2016 season. 

The Rox will play their 5th season of Northwoods League baseball in 2016. The home opener at Joe Faber Field is scheduled for Saturday, June 4th at 7:05pm against the Thunder Bay Border Cats.
