Rowley Returns to Roster
June 12, 2014 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Portland Thunder News Release
PORTLAND, Ore. - On Thursday, the Portland Thunder activated quarterback Kyle Rowley off of the team's injured reserve list.
Saturday's game will be the first time Rowley is eligible to play in a game since suffering an MCL injury late in an April game against the Jacksonville Sharks. Prior to the injury, Rowley had passed for 10 touchdowns and thrown just one interception while leading the Thunder to a close loss against San Jose and a win over the Sharks.
"We're glad to see guys get healthy quickly," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. "Dr. Murphy from Sports Medicine Oregon did a great job getting Kyle's knee right and the guys down at Northlake Physical Therapy, along with our own training staff, helped get him back and ready to go."
Rowley will be eligible to play this in Saturday's game in Anaheim against the L.A. KISS. The game will start at 7 p.m. and will be carried on 750 The Game and streamed live via ESPN3.
