RoughRiders to Host Robert Gallery Night

Cedar Rapids, Iowa- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will honor Robert Gallery, the University of Iowa's Outland Trophy winning offensive tackle, when the RoughRiders host the Des Moines Buccaneers on Friday, February 6 at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.

"We're really excited to have a special night with Robert and give fans in the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area this chance to send him off and wish him well before he goes on to continue his career in the National Football League," said RoughRiders vice-president Tim Kauppi.

Gallery will drop the puck in a ceremonial opening face off just before the February 6 game. He will also sign autographs from 6:00 to 6:45PM. Autographs will be available free of charge with paid admission to the game. A limited number of photos of Gallery will be available for purchase. A limit of two autographs per person will be in effect.

Gallery will sport the uniform jersey he wore in his last game as a Hawkeye, Iowa's 37-17 win over Florida in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day. The 23-year old Masonville native last month became the third Hawkeye to win the Outland trophy, which is awarded to the top interior lineman in college football.

Tickets for Robert Gallery Night- and the rest of the RoughRiders' regular season home games- are now on sale at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office. Tickets can be purchased over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or in person at the ice arena. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices range from $8.00 to $17.00 including a 50-cent facility fee.
