CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - The Lancers were defeated by the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Friday night by a final score of 2-1.
The Lancers took a 1-0 lead in the first period when Alex Campbell (9:44) scored. The puck was shot from the blueline and Campbell was there to sneak it in past Shamil Shmakov.
Early in the second frame, Nate Hanley (1:26) broke past the Lancer defense to even the score 1-1.
In the third period and on the penalty kill, the Jackson Jutting (9:34) scored the game-winning shorthanded goal.
The Lancers are now 2-4-1-0 on the year.
The Lancers and RoughRiders are back in action tomorrow night at Ralston Arena. Puck drop is set for 7:05 pm. All the action can be seen on HockeyTV or head on KOIL 1290 AM.
