RoughRiders Clark Cup Celebration Tomorrow at Noon in Greene Square Park

Cedar Rapids, Iowa- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will celebrate their 2005 United States Hockey League Clark Cup championship with an open air rally tomorrow at noon in Greene Square Park in downtown Cedar Rapids.

Tomorrow's rally gives the fans of Cedar Rapids an opportunity to join the RoughRiders in celebrating the team's historic title victory. Riders coach and general manager Mark Carlson and Riders players will speak at the rally. The Clark Cup will be on display as part of the festivities. RoughRiders players will also meet with fans, sign autographs and be available for photos. Ricochet, the RoughRiders' mascot, will also join in the celebration.

The RoughRiders won the USHL title for the first time in the team's six year history with a 4-1 victory over the Sioux City Musketeers in game five of the Clark Cup finals last night at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. The Riders took the best-of-five series three games to two.

The Riders won the Clark Cup after also earning a share of the Anderson Cup (regular season) title for the first time in club history. The Riders completed their drive to the Clark Cup with a 9-2 playoff record. The Riders went 42-13-5 during a record setting regular season.
