Calgary Roughnecks News Release

The Calgary Roughnecks and Calgary District Lacrosse Association (CDLA) are hosting the preliminary round of the 2010 Scoop n' Shoot tonight (March 24th). Participants will take part in two competitions. The first competition will be the traditional "Scoop n' Shoot". Participants will have to scoop up and then successfully shoot four balls in the net. The balls will be located at different spots on the turf. This is a timed event.

The second competition determines which participant has the hardest shot. Participants will shoot into the net and the speed of the shot will be gauged with a radar gun.

The top three finalists in each age category will compete at half-time on Friday, March 26th when the Roughnecks face-off against the Minnesota Swarm. The winners will have their lacrosse registration for the 2010 season paid for, courtesy of the CDLA.
