Saskatoon, SK - The Saskatchewan Rush defeat the Calgary Roughnecks with a score of 11-10 and sweep the Battle of the Prairies series 3-0, giving them a perfect 10-0 record against their West Division rivals this season.

It was a tight game; the teams knotted at five goals each heading into the halftime break but even though Calgary outshot the home team 46-43, they were not able to overcome the Rush. Goaltender Evan Kirk stood tall between the pipes for Saskatchewan, making 36 saves. Calgary goaltender Christian Del Bianco also put on a show, stopping 32 balls and picking up two assists.

Curtis Dickson (3g, 4a) led the Roughnecks with seven points while Holden Cattoni (4g, 1a) and Dane Dobbie (1g, 4a) were next with five points, each scoring a power play goal. Cattoni was able to surpass the 100 career points milestone with his five point effort.

Mark Matthews (1g, 6a) was Saskatchewan's top point producer with one marker and six assists, setting a new record for most assists in a single season with 84. Ben McIntosh (4g, 2a) led the Rush for scoring with four goals and two helpers.

The two rival teams rallied together tonight to support Team Naomi. Players on both teams wore Team Naomi Get Well Now socks during the game to help raise awareness for Pediatric Cancer Research.

Next Saturday, May 5, the Calgary Roughnecks will face-off against the Colorado Mammoth at the Pepsi Center to open their 2018 Playoff tilt. Game time is 7:00 p.m. MST.
