CALGARY, AB- The Calgary Roughnecks (5-3) host the Washington Stealth (6-3) this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. MST at the Pengrowth Saddledome. Calgary and Washington have split the season series so far with each team winning in the other team's building.

"This weekend's game could have a dramatic impact on each team's season," said Head Coach Dave Pym. "We will need to pull out all the stops in order to earn the four points that are on the line. This game presents a form of challenge that players live for."

Former Roughneck Lewis Ratcliff was a one-man wrecking crew on Jan. 23 in Calgary as he notched six goals and three assists to lead the Stealth to a 16-15 win. Josh Sanderson, Dane Dobbie and Craig Conn fired four goals each for the Riggers, who rebounded from a slow start to make the game close.

The Riggers then bounced back with a 13-9 win over the Stealth on Feb. 19 at the Comcast Arena in Everett, Wash. Kaleb Toth, who missed Calgary's first game against Washington due to injury, tallied four goals and three helpers to lead the way.

Sanderson has paced the Calgary scoring attack in the two games against Washington so far with six goals and six assists, while Shattler (2g, 8a), Conn (6g, 3a), Dobbie (6g, 3a), Scott Ranger (1g, 7a) and Tracey Kelusky (2g, 5a) have also fared well.

"We are going to get a good read on where we are mentally, physically and tactically going into the second half of the season," added Pym. "We must get better in order to satisfy our thirst for perfection."

Over the past six seasons, the Roughnecks have compiled a 10-8 record against the Stealth (3-5 at home, 7-3 on the road). Last year, the Riggers opened the 2009 campaign with a 12-10 victory in San Jose on Jan. 9 before also winning the rematch 16-13 on Jan. 24 in Calgary.

To commemorate St. Patrick's Day, the Riggers will wear special green jerseys this weekend. Fans can bid on the game-worn jerseys online until 3 p.m. today (March 12). Visit www.calgaryroughnecks.com for more information.
