Roughnecks Host Sacramento, Galaxy II Thursday and Saturday

Tulsa Roughnecks FC will be back in action at ONEOK Field this week for the first time in nearly a month. The Roughnecks will host USL Champions Sacramento Republic FC on Thursday, June 25 followed by a match with Los Angeles Galaxy II on Saturday, June 27.

Kickoff times of 7:30PM is scheduled for both matches.

The first 1,000 fans on Thursday to enter through the Oil Derrick or Arvest Entrances will receive a 2015 Team Poster compliments of Tulsa's Channel 8 and 106.9 K-Hits!

A number of activities and promotions are scheduled around both games, including a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles to watch a MLS game. On Thursday, it will be Team Poster Night with the first 1,000 fans entering ONEOK Field through the Arvest and Oil Derrick entrances receiving full-color posters of the 2015 Roughnecks squad courtesy of Tulsa's Channel 8 and 106.9 K-Hits. Tulsa players and staff will all be available following the match to sign posters for fans.

It is also a Thirsty Thursday with 16-ounce soft drinks and 16-ounce servings of Bud and Bud Light on sale for only $2 each.

In addition, a pair of original Roughnecks legends will be at the match meeting fans and signing autographs on the stadium concourse from 6:30-7:30PM. Former Roughnecks defender and head coach Alex Skotarek will be on hand as will former goalkeeper Gene DuChateau.

Skotarek played for the original Roughnecks from 1978-1981 and was also a member of the U.S.A. National Team. He also served as the team's interim coach during their inaugural 1978 season and later became the Roughnecks' general manager after his playing career.

The colorful DuChateau was Tulsa's goalkeeper during the 1979 and 1980 seasons.

Pre-match activities on Thursday will begin at 5:00PM at Joe Momma's at 112 S. Elgin Avenue, just south of ONEOK Field. Joe Momma's will be offering ½ price appetizers and $2 Bud Light draughts for fans. At approximately 6:15, the Roustabouts supporters group will lead a March to the Match from Joe Momma's. All fans are invited to participate and march to the match in unity.

Saturday's game will feature a match up with Los Angeles Galaxy II. It will be the first visit to Tulsa for Galaxy II. Earlier this season, the two teams met in Los Angeles with Galaxy II getting a 2-0 victory.

A large Fireworks Show is scheduled for after the match courtesy of the News On 6 and 101.5 El Patron.

Saturday's pre match activities will get underway at 5:00PM with the Roughnecks Rally at the Guthrie Green. The Roustabouts will lead the March to the Match at approximately 6:00PM.

Tickets for both matches this week, and all other matches this season, are available online at TulsaRoughnecksFC.com, over the telephone at (918)744-5901 or in person at the ONEOK Field Ticket Office. A number of season ticket packages are also still available.

NOTES:

Thursday's match will mark the first-ever meeting between the Roughnecks and Sacramento. The Republic are coached by Preki, an original player in MLS and a member of the 1998 USA World Cup squad. . .Tulsa will be without the services of forward Andy Lorei. Lorei suffered a season-ending knee injury in the first minutes of Saturday's match in Austin. . .Brady Ballew, Eli Galbraith-Knapp and Kyrian Kidd, who all missed the Austin trip with injuries, are all expected to be available for this week's matches. . .Sacramento and Galaxy II enter this week's schedule tied for the top spot in the Western Conference standings with 25 points each.

The Roughnecks host Los Angeles Galaxy II for the first time at ONEOK Field. After the match, skies above downtown Tulsa will illuminate with a large Fireworks Spectacular courtesy of News On 6 and 101.5 El Patron.

The Roughnecks have partnered with Allegiant Travels and the Tulsa International Airport on a trip giveaway for one lucky fan. The trip includes round-trip airfare for two to Los Angeles, a three-night hotel stay and tickets to the Los Angeles Galaxy vs. San Jose Earthquakes match at the StubHub Center on Saturday, July 17. All fans, ages 21 and over, can enter to win the trip giveaway at either of this week's matches. A sign-up table will be located behind the Family Stand at ONEOK Field on both Thursday and Saturday. You must be present at Saturday's match to win.
