Calgary, AB - The Vancouver Warriors beat out the Calgary Roughnecks 13-9 in a back and forth battle on WestJet Field Friday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Warriors battled back to bring the score to 3-6, before rookie Kyle Waters (1) scored a breakthrough goal to notch his first in the NLL. From there it was a one goal game back and forth with scoring from both sides to bring it to 8-9 at the end of the third. Newcomer Tanner Cook (1) scored the first of his NLL career early in the fourth, but it wasn't enough to bring the riggers back with the Vancouver dominating the final quarter to set the score at 13-9.
