Toth (3g, 4a), Josh Sanderson (3g, 5a), Dane Dobbie (3g, 3a), and Curt Malawsky (3g) all collected hat-tricks against the Rock. Finishing up the scoring was Captain Tracey Kelusky (2g, 3a) and Nolan Heavenor (2g) with Scott Ranger tallying five assists.

Wasson also answered for the Rock five minutes into the first to bring the game back within one.

A cross-checking call to Matt Carroll allowed Roughnecks' Malawsky to hammer in two back-to-back goals, giving the veteran a hat-trick only 6:54 into the first quarter.

Kelusky notched a goal at 7:32, followed by a goal from Heavenor who walks in literally untouched by the Rock to give the Roughnecks a 7-2 lead.

After a quick time out, the Rock put themselves back on the board with two goals from Kasey Beirnes and Luke Wiles which closes the first quarter at 7-4.

The Rock enter the second quarter with a vengeance. Ratcliff gets his second goal of the game for the Rock at 1:33. Toronto narrows the deficit to a one goal difference with an incredible goal by Wiles to bring the score to 7-6.

It was a back-and-fourth battle heading into the third, with goals from Roughnecks Toth and Kelusky and Rock Stephen Hoar and Jason Crosbie.

The third quarter only saw one goal from the Toronto squad which belonged to Wiles, his third of the game at 11:02 on power play.
