CALGARY, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks are getting in the holiday spirit and giving back to those children in need this Christmas season by collecting toys for The Salvation Army's 15th Annual Toy Mountain.

The team has spruced up the office with a decorated Christmas tree and are asking players, staff and fans to drop off new, unwrapped toys suitable for newborns to teenagers starting November 26th.

"It's great to be given the opportunity to give back to those who not only need it, but appreciate it most, this time of year," said Roughnecks' captain Tracey Kelusky.

"Being able to put a smile on a child's face Christmas morning is very uplifting."

The Roughnecks ask that all toys be delivered to their office before the drop off deadline of December 15th. The players will then be delivering the toys to a Toy Mountain location. Details regarding the drop-off will be released when they are available. The Roughnecks office is located in Phillips Park at Building A, Unit B, 6120 - 2nd Street S.E.

Last year's Toy Mountain collected over 30,400 toys for the Salvation Army's Christmas hamper program. Toy Mountain is presented by Petro-Canada and LITE 96 in collaboration with The Salvation Army.

"We encourage fans of all ages to drop off a new, unwrapped toy and help us make a difference in a child's Christmas," added Tracey.
