Calgary Roughnecks News Release
Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks announced today that the club has acquired forward Aaron Pascas from the Toronto Rock in exchange for their third round pick (27th overall) in the 2012 NLL Entry Draft.
"Aaron is a smart player who works hard and has good size and speed," commented Calgary Roughnecks General Manager Mike Board on the 6-foot, 180-pound forward. "He has shown he can score at the NLL level as well as create opportunities for his teammates. We're happy to add him to our left side. He is excited to be joining the Roughnecks and is looking forward to training camp this fall."
During his 2011 rookie campaign, Pascas played 14 games with Toronto, tallying 15 goals while adding eight assists and collecting 46 loose balls. That same season, Pascas won his first Champion's Cup, recording one goal and scooping eight loose balls over three playoff contests. In 2011, the Port Coquitlam, British Columbia product was named to the NLL's All-Rookie Team.
Last season, Pascas was on the Toronto Rock's hold out list and did not suit up for a National League Lacrosse game.
