Rough Riders sign two All-Americans

Peoria, Illinois â Rough Rider Head Coach Bruce Cowdrey announced the signing of two more All-Americans, moved closer to reaching his 45-man pre-season roster allotment for the upcoming inaugural 2005 season. Pre-Season begins March 1st 2005.
Larry Kinnard Jr. a unanimous 2004 First Team SID All-American and D3 Football All-American selection from Mount Union College along with Adams State College Michael Drinkwater a First Team All-Colorado All-American sign with the Peoria Rough Riders.
Larry Kinnard, 6-6, 310, Offensive Lineman, Mount Union College was a two-time First-Team SID All-American, First Team D3Football.com All-American ('02,'03), a three-year starter for the Purple Raider team that won three National Championships ('00-'02), and set a new collegiate mark for consecutive wins (55) at Mount Union. Only second player from a Division 3 team to be selected to play in the Findlay Toyota Las Vegas All-American Classic. His father Larry Kinnard, Sr. played for the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Colts.
Michael Drinkwater, 6-0,190, Defensive Back, Adams State College recorded 83 tackles (41 solo/42 assisted), 25 pass breakups, and 3 interceptions. In 2004, Drinkwater led the RMAC with 15 pass breakups and was tied for third in total passes defended. Also selected First Team All Colorado, First Team Football Gazette All Southwest Region and First Team All-RMAC. Drinkwater was an Honorable Mention All-RMAC pick as a junior in 2003. Named to the A.D.'s honor roll for the Spring 2004 semester. Michael was a All-State and All-Conference cornerback for Mt. San Jacinto Junior College in 2002 accumulating seven interceptions and 68 tackles.
