
Rough Riders Receive 650 lbs. of Stocking Stuffers

Peoria Rough Riders Head Coach/ Director of Football Operations Chuck Goodwin has added two offensive linemen to the team's 2006 roster.
Will Scott, a 6'5' 320 lbs. offensive lineman, will be looked upon to protect Rough Riders QB Matt Schabert. Scott, a Chicago native, attended the University of Cincinnati and Central State University in Ohio. During his freshman year at Cincinnati, Scott started at nose guard and earned Conference USA Defensive Player of the week honors for the Bearcats game against Penn State. After transferring to Central State University, Will became a two-year starter at Offensive Guard.
Scott has been invited to NFL tryouts with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Redskins, and the Miami Dolphins. Will also brings arena/ indoor football experience to the team having played for the Orlando Predators (AFL), Quad City Steemwheelers (af2) and the Rapid City Red Dogs (NIFL).
Joining Scott is 6'2" 337 lbs. offensive lineman Rayshaun "Big Cheeze" Morsby. Morsby played one season for the Wolves of Joliet Junior College. While at JJC Rayshaun played on the offensive and defensive lines for Coach Bob McDougal. Morsby has spent the past two seasons playing semi-pro football for the Force of Illinois in the Mid-States Football League and the Chicago Falcons of the Chicago Football league. In 15 games with the Falcons Morsby did not allow a quarterback sack.
Head Coach Chuck Goodwin commented "These are two big acquisitions for us that will be the foundation for our running game and will provide protection in the passing game."

- Monday the Rough Riders announced their Holiday Hours. The office will close at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23rd and will reopen Tuesday, December 27th with regular business hours. The office will again close at 2:00 p.m. on Friday December 30th, and reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd.
