Long Island Rough Riders News Release

The Rough Riders will travel to Massachusetts this weekend for a rematch with the Western Mass Pioneers on Saturday, July 2nd. The Rough Riders, coming off a tough 4-0 loss to the Ocean City Barons in the second round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, will look to regain the magic they captured during their 4-1 win over the Northern Virginia Royals in their last division match-up on June 25th.

The Western Mass Pioneers are currently tied for first place in Division 2 and are still alive in the U.S. Open Cup, preparing to face the Chicago Fire in the third round on July 13th. The Rough Riders will have to control the double threat of Neil Krause and Rigels Qosa, who are in third and fourth place for points in the USL standings.

It will be determined whether red cards to Derrick Etienne and Rich Bradley incurred during the Ocean City Barons loss Wednesday night will mean their absence in tomorrow night's match.

The Rough Riders will face the New Hampshire Phantoms at home on Wednesday, July 6th at 12 P.M. at Mitchel Athletic Complex. For ticket information, please call 516 622 3900 or visit www.liroughriders.com
