
Rough Rider Tony Pryor Wins Defensive Player of the Week

The United Indoor Football Player of the Week honors this week went to the Riders all purpose Antonio (Tony) Pryor. Pryor joins Chris Gunn of Tennessee Valley, and Adrian Reese of Fort Wayne lead charge in Week 12 Player-of-the-Week awards. United Indoor Football is proud to announce Players-of-the-Week awards for Week 12 of the 2005 season. Weekly awards are presented in three categories: Offense, Defense, and Special Teams.
Peoria linebacker Antonio Pryor claims the Defensive Player-of-the-Week award in Week 12. The 6'1", 240 pound Pryor recorded seven solo tackles and four tackle assists, including three tackles for a loss in the Rough Riders 22-23 road loss to Ohio Valley last Saturday. Pryor, an Indiana State graduate, helped keep the Greyhounds offense in check. Pryor and the Rough Riders host the Sioux City Bandits next Friday, June 10.
" You can't ask any player to do anymore than Tony Pryor is willing to do and does for his team, " said Riders Head Coach Bruce Cowdrey ."He sets a tremendous example for his teammates through his actions on and off the field. He gives everything he has got to give and then gives a great deal more. He is a football player. I am proud to have him as a member of our team and happy for him that the league has recognized his efforts in awarding him this honor."
