Rosenbaum Solid Again in Leading Senators to 8-1 Win over Akron

Danny Rosenbaum pitched six shut-out innings and lowered his league leading ERA to 0.71 as the Senators defeated the Akron Aeros 8-1. The Senators snapped their four-game losing streak and evened the series with the first place Akron Aeros at a game each. Rosenbaum struck out six and scattered four hits and moved to 5-0 on the season.

Sandy Leon doubled in two runs in the third to start the scoring for Harrisburg. Chris McConnell then singled in Leon giving the Sens a 3-0 lead. Eury Perez made the score 5-0 in the fourth inning with a bases loaded two-out double, driving in two runs.

The Sens broke the game open in the fifth plating three more runs with RBIs coming from Tim Pahuta on a single, Chris Rahl on a run scoring double and finally Sandy Leon with a single. All told the Sens pounded out 13 hits in the game.

Hector Nelo and Christian Garcia pitched the final three innings with Garcia allowing an unearned run in the ninth.

Tim Pahuta and Sandy Leon both had three hits in the game and Leon had three RBIs. Eury Perez and Chris Rahl chipped in with two hits each.

Game three of the four game series is Saturday at 6:05 p.m. with RH Rob Gilliam on the hill for the Senators. The game can be heard on 1460am The Ticket, on the Internet through the Senators website and on all mobile devices through iHeart Radio beginning at 5:45 p.m.
