June 6, 2007 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
American Defenders of New Hampshire News Release
ATLANTIC CITY- The Nashua Pride defeated the Atlantic City Surf at Bernie Robbins Stadium in front of 950 led by Olmo Rosario who hit for the cycle with 3 RBI and a stolen base. Rosario was 4-for-5 and doubled in his last at bat in the ninth inning to complete the cycle. It was only the second time in the ten-year history of the stadium that a opposing player hit for the cycle against the Surf. Newark's Keith Thomas cycled in 1999.
Nashua's Akira Okamoto pitched eight strong innings with seven strike-outs and allowed only three hits, and two runs scored. Okamoto collected his first win on the season, and Atlantic City's Donovan Graves received his third loss of the season. The Surf have now lost five games in a row, while the Pride has won three in a row.
The Surf will try to avoid the series sweep Thursday night at Bernie Robbins Stadium against the Pride at 7:05 P.M.
