
Roots Goalkeeper Zeus de la Paz Called into National Team Duty for Curacao

Oakland, CA - Roots very own Zeus de la Paz has once again been called in by Guus Hiddink to represent the Curacao National Team for World Cup Qualifiers on June 5th and June 8th against the British Virgin Islands and Guatemala respectively.
Curacao currently sit top of Group C in round one of CONCACAF Qualifying separated on goal differential ahead of second place Guatemala. Pending results on June 5th the match on June 8th could be all to play for between Curacao and Guatemala for the right to advance to face the winner of Group D in the second round of qualifying in a home away two leg series on June 12th and June 15th. From there the winner advances to join the likes of Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Jamaica and the United States in the final round of 2022 CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying.
The big man will miss Roots USL Championship League matches on June 2nd vs Sacramento Republic and June 12th vs Orange County should Curacao advance to round two.
