
Rome Makes Roster Move

Rome, GA - Rome Braves pitchers Tommy Hanson, Chris Medlen, and Duente Heath have been promoted to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans of the Carolina League the team announced today. Hanson, Medlen, and Heath were all members of the 2007 All-Star team.
Rome receives pitchers Chris Vines, Sergio Valenzuela, and Jorge Acosta from the Pelicans and they will join the team tonight in Charleston.
The Braves continue their road trip tonight and tomorrow against the Riverdogs before heading to Savannah for a three game series July 4th - 6th. Rome begins a six game home stand on Saturday July 7th against the Columbus Catfish. Upcoming promotions include:
Saturday 7pm - Salute to America Night with fireworks presented by Chick Fil A and Q102.
Sunday 2pm - Hardball Bingo sponsored by Savvy Scrubs and 957 The Ridge
Monday 7pm - Feed your Face Night. All the pizza you can eat for $5 presented by talk Radio 1410 WLAQ.
