
Rogues Can't Hold On, BlueJackets Take Game Two

MEDFORD, OR - After dominant pitching in the first three innings, Medford was able to score in the fourth inning, jumping to a 1-0 lead, but Kitsap was able to score off of two home runs by BlueJackets bats taking game two, 4-1.
Brock Pradere for the Rogues reached base in the fourth inning off an error by the Kitsap shortstop, Jordan Peabody, then was able to cross the plate to score the first run of the game putting the Rogues on top, 1-0. The BlueJackets tied the game in the seventh inning with a solo homerun by Joe Siegal. Kitsap scored again, off another homerun by Aaron Ping, bringing in three runs, breaking the tie and eventually taking the game, 4-1.
John Oltman for Kitsap held the Rogues to just two hits for the game. Billy Fredrick had one hit in four plate appearances, now with a batting average of .284. J.J. Kitaoka had the other hit of the night, a single in the sixth inning, improving his batting average to .296.
Kohl Hostert got the start for the Rogues, going 6.1 innings giving up 1 run on 6 hits, striking out two and walking one. His season ERA now sits at 3.22. Jamie Flynn got the loss for Medford going one inning, giving up 3 runs and walking one. Flynn now has an ERA of 4.36. Justin Mulvaney and D.J. Wilson also made appearances for the Rogues.
Medford and Kitsap face off again tomorrow night at 6:35 for game three at Harry and David Field.
