
Rodriguez Named Pitcher of the Week

BOWIE, Md. - Baysox starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez has been named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Monday, Sep. 2. Rodriguez is the second Baysox pitcher to win the award this season after Eddie Gamboa received the honor for the week enduing June 30.
Rodriguez finished the season with a pair of terrific starts for the Baysox, going 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA over 14.0 innings. He allowed seven hits while striking out 11 batters and walking just one. After starting slow at the Double-A level, Rodriguez finished strong for the Baysox, going 3-0 with a 0.36 ERA in his final four starts. Overall, Rodriguez went 4-3 with a 4.22 ERA in 11 starts in Bowie. He went 6-4 with a 2.85 ERA in 14 starts with Advanced-A Frederick to start the season.
