Roddy Thomas to Perform Comix Standup Act Friday

NORWICH, CT - The Connecticut Tigers are proud to announce that comic Roddy Thomas will perform a standup routine postgame on Friday night as part of Friday Night COMIX presented by COMIX at Foxwoods Comedy Club.

Friday night is the series finale against the Vermont Lake Monsters, with first pitch set for 7:05 PM.

While he does voices, accents, dialects, and a host of different characters, he has performed with such comics as Julie Barr, Bill Bellamy, Dave Chappelle, Tom Cotter, Dominic Fig, Phil Nee, Otto & George, Mark Rossi, Frank Vignola and Greg Vacarello.

Thomas was a finalist in the Jay Leno Comedy Challenge, has appeared in the Pay-Per-View special "The Feast of Fools," performed in Cable TV Commercials and done news, weather and sports spots on radio.

The performance is the first of five Friday Night COMIX acts that will be performed throughout the season after each Friday night game.

Prior to the game on Friday night the Tigers in conjunction with the American Red Cross and Lawrence & Memorial Hospital will hold a blood drive and following the game there will be a fireworks show also presented by the American Red Cross and Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.
