Wilmington Blue Rocks News Release
Winston-Salem, NC - A wet field and the forecast of more rain to come combined to postpone Friday night's scheduled clash between the Wilmington Blue Rocks (9-4) and Winston-Salem Dash (6-7) at BB&T Ballpark. The game will be made up during a doubleheader on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. Both games will be seven innings in length.
This marks the Blue Rocks' second rainout of the season and first on the road. Wilmington swept Kinston in its only prior doubleheader this season on April 15.
The Blue Rocks are scheduled to toss southpaw Noel Arguelles (0-0, 0.00) in game one against a ranked prospect, righty Cameron Bayne (2-0, 0.00). The nightcap will feature Wilmington right-hander Jake Odorizzi (0-0, 3.86) against lefty Joe Serafin (0-0, 3.00).
Broadcast coverage begins at 5:30 p.m. as studio host Adam Dobrowolski brings fans the Rocks Report Pre-game Show, presented by Wawa on 89.7 WGLS-FM and online at wgls.rowan.edu.
