(Ramapo, NY) - The Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball (Can-Am League) announced today that the Rockland Boulders have been named as the league's "Organization of the Year" for 2012. The award was voted on by team managers and media department personnel, and criteria encompassed all areas of baseball operations including clubhouse, playing field, communication and professionalism.

"In just its second season of existence, Rockland's commitment to being a top-notch professional baseball franchise has been evident throughout their organization," stated Commissioner Miles Wolff. "We're proud to have them as a member of the Can-Am League and congratulate them on this well-deserved recognition."

For the second time this season, the Boulders have been recognized for their organizational accomplishments. This May, they were presented with the Pinnacle Award for Corporate Citizenship from the Rockland Business Association, and continued their philanthropic efforts in the community by working with over 100 charitable groups and organizations in the season just completed.

This season, the Boulders welcomed a league-high 161,375 fans to the beautiful Provident Bank Park. In addition to the picturesque setting of the facility, the two-year old park features amenities such as a state-of-the-art HD video board, indoor batting cage, children's playground, luxury suites, and a wide assortment of concession options. All of the above add up to a sense of pride that should be shared throughout the organization, according to team President Ken Lehner.

"It's always an honor to be recognized for one's efforts, especially from your peers," noted Lehner. "This is a testament to everyone in the Rockland Boulders organization who works hard to ensure that our fans enjoy a memorable experience each and every time they attend a game at Provident Bank Park."
