Midland RockHounds News Release
Brett Anderson and Trevor Cahill both got a taste of the big leagues on Sunday afternoon. Both pitchers threw for the Team USA in the annual MLB Future's Game held in association with this weeks All-Star Game in New York.
Both players will rejoin the RockHounds this week and prepare to make starts for the 'Hounds on Thursday and Friday. Both players have the opportunity to be selected to this year's Olympic team that will begin play in Beijing in August.
Two other players who spent time in Midland this season, Cliff Pennington and Henry Rodriguez, also took part in yesterday's Future's Game. Rodriguez struck out the side for the World team and Pennington got the start at second base for the USA team.
