Erik Gustafsson (2G), Tanner Kero (1G, 1A), Spencer Abbott (3A), and Mark McNeill (2A) all notched multipoint games in the trip to the Allstate Arena.
The IceHogs used both goalies in the defeat with Carruth picking up the loss after he made 16 saves. Johansson came on in the second in relief and Carruth returned for the final frame.
Rockford uncharacteristically was 4-for-7 down a man on Saturday to drop their rank in the league to 22nd with a 78.2 percent penalty kill. The IceHogs were also 0-for-4 with the man advantage and currently stand 17th in the AHL. On special teams, Milwaukee (3-2-0-1) sits at 25th on the power play and 16th on the penalty kill. The Admirals are on a 0-2-0-1 losing streak after dropping back to back games against the Iowa Wild.
In the last matchup on Oct. 22, Rockford outlasted the Admirals in a shootout as Johansson was perfect
