Rochester Americans News Release
*Rochester posted a 4-3-0-0 record through its first seven games of the season and won three of its last four to bring October's slate to a close. The Amerks return home after splitting a two-game set against the St. John's IceCaps in Newfoundland, which ended with the team on winning side of a 5-2 decision on Saturday. Rochester dropped the first meeting by a 5-3 score on Friday.-
*The Amerks enter the week owning two of the top 20 point-getters in the AHL in veteran forwards Cole Schneider and Cal O'Reilly, who are tied for second and 11th in the league in scoring, respectively.
- After being held scoreless on Friday, Schneider continued his torrid pace on Saturday by registering his fourth multi-point outing in seven games with a goal and an assist, giving him 10 points (4+6) on the season. He's currently tied for fourth in the league in assists (6) and seventh in goals (4), marking the best start of his pro career. The Amerks are a perfect 4-0-0-0 when Schneider records a point.
- O'Reilly, meanwhile, is also tied for fourth in the AHL with six assists and comes into the week currently riding a five-game point streak, the third-longest in the AHL.
*The Amerks begin a three-game weekend on Friday, Nov. 4 when they host the Syracuse Crunch on Military Appreciation Night at The Blue Cross Arena. The team will wear special Military-themed jerseys on Friday in addition to the Nov. 11 game against Hartford that will be auctioned off to benefit the Veterans Outreach Center.
