
Rockets to Play in International Tournaments

The Kelowna Rockets are proud to announce that European import players Andreas Stene and Gal Koren have both made their national teams and will participate in IIHF World Junior Hockey Tournaments, representing their countries.
Stene, a native of Oslo, Norway, will represent his country at the World Junior Championship in Buffalo, NY from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5, 2011.
Koren, a native of Domzale, Slovenia, has been picked to represent Slovenia in the IIHF World Championship Division 1 Group B tournament. Slovenia is playing host to the group B tournament in Bled, Slovenia, from Dec. 12 to 18, 2010.
Hockey Canada will announce its invites to its pre-Christmas evaluation camp this coming Monday Nov. 29, 2010. Rockets captain Tyson Barrie is among the Canadian hopefuls awaiting an invite.
Meanwhile, Rockets 16-year-old players Colton Heffley and Damon Severson have been selected to Team West at the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. That tournament takes place in Winnipeg and Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, from Dec. 29 to Jan. 4, 2011.
