Rockets Light Up Bruins 4-1

Chilliwack BC -Cody Almond scored 2 goals and added a helper as the Kelowna Rockets took out the Chilliwack Bruins 4-1. Almond's two goals erased a 1-0 deficit and propelled the Rockets to their 21st win of the season. Brady Leavold and Lucas Bloodoff scored for the Rockets as well. Colby Kulhanek was the only Bruin to beat Torrie Jung, who was stellar in goal for the Rockets, turning aside all but one of the 34 shots he faced on the evening. Rookie goalie Mark Friesen suffers the loss for the Bruins, who have now dropped five of their past six games.

The Bruins open 2008 versus the Everett Silvertips, in Everett, WA on Friday night before returning home to face the Prince George Cougars on Saturday evening at the Prospera Centre.
