The PEI Rocket are pleased to announce that Saturday Night is Easter Seals Night at the Charlottetown Civic Centre and Easter Seals Ambassador, Colton Matheson will be on hand for the evening. The Rocket are also very pleased to announce that Olympic Gold Medallist, Heather Moyse from Summerside will be on hand on Saturday night in a special on-ice ceremony as part of the Rocket home game against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. Game time is 7:00 PM.

As part of the tribute to Easter Seals, the Rocket will be hosting a toonie toss during one of the intermissions, with all proceeds going towards the Easter Seals Campaign. In addition, as part of the Rocket's Fan Appreciation Weekend, there will be plenty of extra prizes to be won by fans in attendance.

The Ambassador for this year's PEI Easter Seals Campaign is twelve-year-old Colton Matheson, a grade six student at Montague Consolidated School. Colton, son of Jamie & Debra Matheson and Shannon Lavandier, lives in Montague, Prince Edward Island.

Colton has Downs Syndrome. He is a talented young man with a quick sense of humor, an ever-present smile and a huge love for music. Colton is involved in Special Olympics, an avid golfer and local entertainer, and a regular fan at PEI Rocket games. Colton is ecstatic to be the 2010 Easter Seals Ambassador: "My motto is Feel the Joy! I am thrilled to be the Easter Seals Ambassador," said Colton.

The PEI Easter Seals Society has provided financial assistance to support programs at PEI Cerebral Palsy Association, Camp Gencheff, Stars for Life Foundation for Autism, PEI Rehabilitation Council, Joy Riders, CADS-PEI (disabled skiers association) and many other worthy organizations.

"The Rocket are proud to be a part of such a worthwhile organization and this is a great way for us to show our commitment to the community", said Rocket President Serge Savard Jr.
