Ashwaubenon, Wis. - The Rockers won their fifth consecutive game on Friday night, taking down the Kokomo Jackrabbits 7-5.

Green Bay's offense was able to accumulate eight hits throughout the game. They also took advantage of three Kokomo errors, including one that came in a four-run seventh inning for the Rockers.

Starting on the hill for the Rockers was Grayson Walker (Dickinson) who made his third start of the season. His outing began with a scoreless frame and one strikeout.

After a scoreless first inning, both teams would have multiple baserunners in the second. It was the Rockers who were able to strike first when catcher Nainoa Cardinez (Hawaii) drove an RBI single to left field, making it a 1-0 ball game.

Later that inning, center fielder Max Mims (Southwestern) was able to get another RBI on an infield single, extending the Green Bay lead to 2-0.

Kokomo got one run back in the top of the second inning, but the Rockers were able to respond to this with another run in the bottom of the third. Shortstop Cooper Kelly (Kansas) knocked an RBI single to right field, scoring Cardinez from second and extending the lead to 3-1.

The Rockers' pitching staff would run into trouble in the fifth inning, as Kokomo would get four runs in the frame. Walker's day would come to an end after loading the bases and would be relieved by AJ Anzai (Chapman) who then gave up a three-RBI double to Jackrabbit left fielder Nolan Christianson (Dorot).

Jacob Faulkner (Princeton) would take over on the hill for Green Bay and was able to pitch efficiently. He ended his night with five strikeouts, including three consecutive strikeouts in the sixth inning.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Rockers would load the bases before left fielder Cuyler Zukowski (Creighton) would work a full count hit-by-pitch to bring the Rockers within one.

Rockers right fielder Jojo Jackson would then put the Rockers in the lead with a two-RBI single, scoring Kyle West (West Virginia) and Jayson Jones (Arkansas). One more run would come across as Luke Moeller delivered a ball up the middle that would force an error. Green Bay led 7-5 after seven innings.

Cooper Dossett (Arkansas) made his second appearance of the season for Green Bay to close out the game at the same score.

The Rockers improve to 11-7 on the season and now hold sole possession of first place in the Great Lakes West Division. They're now one game up on the Wausau Woodchucks, who lost to the Rockford Rivets 9-4 Friday night.

Up next for the Rockers is a two-game road trip to Battle Creek, Michigan for the first action between the Rockers and the Battle Jacks this season. Saturday night's game will start at 5:35 p.m. central time.
