Rockers Head to Wisconsin Rapids to Take on Rafters

Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Green Bay Rockers take on the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters Sunday in the first of back-to-back meetings with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. from Witter Field.

This two-game series between the Rockers and Rafters is the last series of the first half of the season, before the second half begins on Wednesday, July 6.

Green Bay last played Saturday night at Capital Credit Union Park and lost to the Madison Mallards 10-5 in the second of a two-game series.

The Rockers were led offensively by Tristin Garcia who had three doubles and an RBI, while Owen Jackson reached base five times and Griffin Stevens who went 3-5 with an RBI as well.

Despite the loss, Caden Capomaccio pitched three scoreless innings out of the bullpen for the Rockers with three strikeouts in what was his first career start in a Green Bay uniform.

For Sunday's matchup versus the Rafters, the Rockers will start Will Semb, who comes into this game with a 1-4 record and a 4.07 ERA.

Semb last pitched on June 27 against Fond du Lac, in which he pitched 5.1 innings and gave up three earned runs while walking four and striking out six.

The Rockers will close out the first half of the 2022 season Monday, taking on the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters at Capital Credit Union Park. First pitch is set for 12:05 p.m.
