Loggers Battle Back to Beat Huskies, 11-8

The La Crosse Loggers put together a thrilling late-inning comeback to defeat the Rochester Honkers tonight.
Blaise Priester (Meridian CC) started his evening off with a bang, going yard in the 1st frame off Honkers' starter, Cam Holycross (Indiana State). After the initial 4-run rally, the Huskies struck back by scoring 3 in the 3rd and 4th innings, capitalizing on 4 Loggers' errors.
The Lumberman bats came alive in the 6th, as they batted around the order while hanging a crooked 6 runs on the board. Aiden Sweatt (North Florida), Carson Hornung (South Carolina), Coby Morales (Washington), and Blaise Preister all drove in runs during the inning.
On the night, Sweat went 3-4 with 2 runs and 2 RBIs. Morales also had 3 hits with 3 RBIs. Priester had a big game as well, tallying multiple hits with a towering 2-run homer off the State Bank Financial scoreboard; his 6th of the season.
Following another insurance run in the 8th, courtesy of a Coby Morales double, Eldridge Armstrong (San Diego State) made his 7th relief appearance. The flame throwing right-hander tallied 2.0 scoreless innings with a strikeout, registering his 2nd save of the summer. Russell Derbyshire (Louisiana-Monroe) got the win and Jace Root (Santa Clara) took the loss.
