Rockers Get Come-From-Behind Win in Fondy

Fond du Lac, Wis. - The Rockers earn a come-from-behind win Tuesday night to beat Fond du Lac, 3-2.
The Dock Spiders took a 1-0 lead in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Kyte McDonald. The lead went to 2-0 in the seventh on a double by Connor Manthey. Cash Rugely scored both runs.
In the eighth, the Rockers got on the board on a bunt hit by Griffin Stevens. Tristin Garcia tied the game on a sacrifice fly to left field, scoring Shane Gipson.
Later in the inning, Owen Jackson doubled off the right field wall to score Stevens from first, and the Rockers took a 3-2 lead.
In the bottom of the eighth, with two outs and a runner on first, Jared Payne knocked a base hit to left. The runner took off on the pitch and tried to score the tying run from first, but he was thrown out by Stevens at the plate.
Jacob Conover tossed a 1-2-3 ninth inning to seal the win. He earned his second win of the year.
Justin Loer threw 61/3 innings and allowed seven hits and two earned runs. He walked two and struck out two.
The Rockers look to take a second straight game Wednesday night. They travel to Wausau to face the Woodchucks.
Michael Fowler is Green Bay's probable starter, and Jack Wenninger is Wausau's probable. First pitch from Athletic Park is set for 6:35 o.m.
