Mankato MoonDogs News Release

WATERLOO, Iowa - The Mankato MoonDogs beat the Waterloo Bucks, 10-6, in a Northwoods League baseball game, Tuesday night at Riverfront Stadium.

The victorious MoonDogs have taken the first two games of the four-game home-and-home series and head back to Mankato sporting a 16-14 record this season. The second consecutive loss for the Bucks drops their record to 7-21 on the season.

Ariel Armas (San Diego) popped out at the plate, finishing the day three-for-four with a no-doubt home run. Sean Ross (Indiana State) and Kai Roberts (Utah) had big days also, batting two-for-five and scoring a run. Dustin Crenshaw (Grand Canyon) had two hits also to finish the night two-for-four.

Charles McAdoo (San Jose State) capped a big, five-run fifth inning with a sacrifice fly to right, which ultimately helped Mankato claim an eventual 10-6 victory. It was one of McAdoo's pair of team-leading RBI on the night.

Drew Buhr (Bellarmine) made his fifth start of the season Tuesday night and pitched four innings en route to a no decision. Simon Gregersen (Indiana State), now 3-3 on the summer, pitched four innings in relief of Buhr to pick up the win. He struck out two while allowing only one run. Timmy Reeve (San Joaquin Delta) pitched the ninth to help seal the MoonDogs' 16th victory of the season by a 10-6 margin.

Up next, the series shifts to Mankato for another pair of games, where the MoonDogs will host the Bucks. Weston Lombard (San Fransisco) is listed as Mankato's starting arm for the next game. He will deliver a 6:35 p.m. first pitch, Wednesday night at ISG Field.
