(New Britain, CT) - Gil Velázquez hit a sacrifice fly after a lead off triple by Rashad Eldridge in the bottom of the 10th inning, giving the New Britain Rock Cats a 5-4 victory over the Sea Dogs on Tuesday night at New Britain Stadium. Portland committed a season-high five errors after making five miscues through the first 11 games of the season.

The Sea Dogs took a 4-1 advantage heading into the bottom of the eighth inning but New Britain scored three unearned runs to tie the game at four. Mike James relieved Bryce Cox with the bases loaded and two outs but hit Brock Peterson and surrendered a two-run single to Korey Feiner.

Tristan Crawford, who flew into New Britain earlier in the evening, worked a scoreless 10th inning to notch the victory. Crawford was demoted from Triple-A Rochester and will start Thursday morning's series finale. James suffered his first Double-A loss, allowing three hits and one run in two and 1/3 innings.

Cory Keylor had four hits for the Sea Dogs, including an RBI double with two outs in the eighth inning. Keylor had two singles, a triple and a run scored. Jacoby Ellsbury and Jeff Corsaletti gave Portland a 3-0 lead with RBI singles in the fifth inning against Brian Duensing. Jed Lowrie knocked in the game's first run with a two-out RBI single in the fourth inning. The hit was the first for Lowrie with runners-in-scoring-position.

Clay Buchholz was impressive in his third Double-A start, scattering only two hits and fanning eight in five and 2/3 innings. Bryce Cox worked 2+ innings in relief of Buchholz yielding three hits, four runs (three earned) and two walks.

Notes: The Sea Dogs have lost in the final at-bat in two of the last three...New Britain has done the opposite (winning on Sunday versus Connecticut)...Jacoby Ellsbury leads the team with 10 RBI and has reached base safely in all 12 games...Jed Lowrie and Jeff Natale committed their first two errors of the season.
