
Rock Acquires Defenseman Darren Halls in Trade

TORONTO -The Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club traded Brian Beisel and Brad MacDonald in a transaction with the Arizona Sting yesterday for Darren Halls and a conditional 2007 NLL entry draft pick. Terms of the contract deals were not disclosed due to club policy.
Defenseman Darren Halls, entering his third year in the NLL played in 12 games for the Arizona Sting in 2006. The Orangeville, ON native was drafted by the Sting with their first selection (1st round, 4th overall) of the 2004 NLL Entry Draft.
Brian Beisel, an eight year veteran in the NLL, began his career in Toronto in 1999 and played the last two seasons (2005 & 2006) with the Rock. He played in Albany from 2000-2003 and spent 2004 with the San Jose Stealth. In the 2006 regular season, Brian tallied 15 points (3 goals and 12 assists).
Brad MacDonald, acquired by the Rock in a trade after two seasons with the Calgary Roughnecks in July 2005, played in thirteen regular season games in 2006. Brad requested a trade to pursue a career opportunity and thanks the management and coaching staff for their support. Brad also wishes the team the best of luck this upcoming season.
The Rock face the Arizona Sting in their second game of the pre-season on Friday, December 1st 2006 at the new General Motors Centre in Oshawa, Ontario at 7:30 p.m.
